I thought that Yamato looks allright? Bear in mind they will deviate from the design file in game given tech/yard size. I've seen Yamato from 65-67.5k in Size, with belt between 15-17in. i got this I've been recommended 16in armed version of this with 20in turret front. In anycase, if you are talking about how the spirte is not very pretty I'd suspect its due to the fact that German turret are always rendered more rectangular. Also the fact that drawing good top down sprites are not easy at all. If you are talking about the specifications being off, as we all know that design calculations are bit off to make the armours exactly the level it was.

Lol, the 1.03 update wont work because of this mod. I'll have to restore. Will this mod work if it's reinstalled overtop of 1.03? Armor was made lighter on 45k+ ton ships

Armor was made lighter on 45k+ ton ships I don’t think it will break the mod, but the larger designs may not be as well optimized, though again, rtw takes some liberty with adjusting templates to actual tech, so jt may turn out just fine

How do I create .tdf IDes? I'd like to do some more to supplement this mod. I have a PM to hipper but in case he doesn't get back to me, how do I create these on my own? They are similar to design files. But I'm not sure what exact differences there are. Edit: Upon further examination, it appears that the .tdf IDes are simply design files with minor changes that have been renamed. These are the only parts of the file I have been able to see that are notably different/changed: Also BuildYear=1951 is listed in some of Hipper's designs. Is this an important criteria that prevents ship prior to this date from using this file? Or do nations build randomly based on their Dock Size? How does it work? So with the name and classname, do the naming conventions need to be the same starting with an "H_" and then whatever name you want? What are the requirements for this to work? And when the design is completed the above changes made, the design is simply renamed? What are the file name conventions that need to be adhered to with .tdf files? Can I make an unlimited number of designs? What names do they need to be? For example I see B5X0 thru B5X9, can I create new ones from B5X10 thru B5X20? What will the game recognize and or preference 1st or are they random when choosing a design? Thanks

1) Name is unimpoortant and was used by me to check that designs appear in the Auto-Designer. Can safely be deleted. 2) BuildYear the same 3) The number of maximum .tdf files is hardcoded and I remember that numbers over 9 were reserved for special ships and not to be changed. Numbers 0 to 9 are available to be used.

Now that the new patch stops the AI from scrapping BB's in the late game, we will likely see more of these designs. I've noticed dock size by the 1930's are already past 60k tons. So in that time frame, I'm hoping to see the AI build more of these bigger designs. May I have permission to use your mod as a basis for making a new one that will include conceptual designs beyond that of which you have created? And thanks for your help hipper . This mod has been one that has gone in EVERY campaign I have used since 1st using this mod. It's awesome seeing these huge Battleships in game.
