tortugapower To further explain. I load the mod and when i run it it shows the tension levels and there will even be wars. But when i advance turns the AI war mod just stays on the month where i opened it. No updates no battle logs nothing. I habe follwed the instructions and closed loaded auto save etc but it still generates no updates unless i close out the AI war mod and then it just shows the tensions and war states but no battles ever take place.
Also wanted to say thank you your videos on YouTube are the reason I bought RTW2 and it has been a lot of fun.
Thanks you

akinesia I'm not sure I understand the behavior you're describing, let me try to reiterate: - You open the mod and the game, the mod identifies the month correctly and loads tensions - When you advance a month in the game, the mod does not advance in lockstep - if you close the mod and reopen it, it correctly updates the new month Is that right? As soon as you press end turn and the next month comes, the mod should detect the new month. It scans the Autosave.bcs file for a change of month, and if it finds one, it should run a new month in the mod (updating tensions, possibly sinking ships, etc.)

Capsized actually (unwittingly) gave me an idea. I think I can upgrade this mod's usefulness by simplifying the save/reload interaction. I think I can store the ships that should be sunk in a log, and then allow the user to tell the GUI when they want to update the game files. This will allow the mod to run wars over months without exiting to refresh the game and then apply these to the game when the user chooses. The game just won't know about any ship sinkings until the mod is told to refresh the game (and the usual Save/Load + mod restart is done). Was this ever given any headway, as I feel like that'd be the best way to handle it, though the AI wars data would have to reference the log and make sure it doesn't double any sunk entries. But this would let us just let it run until such time as we got into a war.

I have the same error as akinesia. During wars between AI nations the mod doesn't advance and no battles are created, during peacetime everything works fine.

LordBane akinesiaAkinesia has provided some solid feedback, which should allow me to go back and fix some things. I don't expect to update/fix this soon, but I can @ you both in a message here when I do.

Hey there,
first I'd like to thank you for the great effort in making an AI mod, which also looks very promising although it's Version 0.306. I ran into the same exact error like akinesia though, with the same exact error message. I tried various nations, save slots, the 1900 and 1920 start date, washington and/ or versailles treaty enabled or disabled and also with historical budget disabled or enabled. That things don't change the result and there seems to be a tendency that the error shows up in August 1900/1920, I don't know if that information is helpful, but be sure that not only me really like the idea of your mod and hope that this great work will be continued one day.
