Activated Bogatyr from the Vladivostok Squadron and loaded mines on to her, set a minelaying mission and now the ship and the objective have disappeared.
thanks

Here's Bogatyr, back in Vlad where she belongs: Attachment DeletedDo not save a planning turn in progress after you have activated any ships or divisions. Also custom missions like minelaying are lost but program supplied missions should remain available. What seems to happen is that the engine recognizes that a ship has been activated but since it has not sailed, when the save is loaded it cannot find its location at sea and so makes it vanish. This is a guess but it fits the data. Should this happen again, the fix is an easy edit: 1. Open the save using a text editor; 2. Search for the name of the missing ship and find its defining text line: I.E. Ship3Name=Bogatyr3. Scroll down to the following lines:Ship3Active=1 Ship3Deployed=1
4. Amend to read: Ship3Active=0 Ship3Deployed=0
5. Save and close. It takes longer to explain than to fix. If you're not comfortable with doing the editing, just post the save here and we'll do what we can to fix the problem. Once again, sorry that this happened and you will need to reset your mining objective for the turn. I know that FW will read this but since he's spending every waking moment with Rule the Waves I would not hold my breath in anticipation of a near term fix for this issue. Just do not save a planning turn after you have commenced activating ships or setting opportunity mine objectives. Good Luck and Good Hunting.
