Realized I had this in the wrong spot in the forum so moved it here.
So I have been thinking about the upcoming inclusion of missiles into the game, which should make late game interesting, and also thinking about the airstrike capability we now have with RTW2. And there's a couple things I'd really like to see implemented. A) Surface-to-surface missile batteries as coastal defenses. Ideally including radar installations and retrofitting radar to old coastal fortifications. B) Torpedo Bombers and Fighters employing underwing rockets like the old 3 in and 5 in rockets in addition to their bomb loads. Could even be programmed to use them to target smaller ships while saving their bombs for Capital ships. Against Capital ships they can still inflict damage on lightly armored areas. The USN was big users of this technique towards the end of WWII, as well as against submarines, and the British did the same with their North Sea Anti-shipping patrols. I'd be interested in hearing peoples thoughts on these ideas.
