I was more referring to continuing with the stealthy, subsonic approach than going for high Mach numbers.

I was more referring to continuing with the stealthy, subsonic approach than going for high Mach numbers. With the characteristics described, I really didn't think it was a high mach aircraft. Sailplane like structures and wings stay under 500 knots. They are looking for stealth and endurance for this ISR package, not speed. This allows CIA, NSA or anyone to place the package over the suspected target area and just keep watching.
