In the case of the Alsace, a French Battleship with 9x6" secondary guns in 3x3 turrets, they were all mounted centrally. But when trying to do this in ship design, two of the turrets are incorrectly placed port/starboard and the third isn't placed. Will these 3 guns be able to fire? What arc will they use? How will they be hit? Or are they dead weight?
I'd like to see the ship UI show these guns as hardpoints located centrally... I mean, how else can odd number of guns/turrets be mounted? Any plans to have centrally mounted secondary hardpoints on ship UI's?

As far as the graphics, this has been the case since RTW1. As far as the distribution of the guns, my recollection of what the devs/manual have said is somewhat different from dorn's. My recollection is that pairs of turrets with the selected number of guns are placed until there aren't enough for a full pair, and the remaining guns are treated as being in a centerline turret.

The odd gun is defintely on the centerline, but in case of 9 guns in triples i dont know if you get 3 starboard, 3 port, 3 centerline or 4 starboard, 4 port, 1 centerline. It's not dead weight, even if the graphic isn't generated, all guns are on the ship.
