The heavy cruiser Seattle and it's three accompanying destroyers engaged a French heavy cruiser with a single destroyer escort off of Lilli Point and sank both French ships.
October 1922
Japan has joined France in it's war with the United States.
November 1922
Two US heavy cruisers engaged a pair of Japanese cruisers off Guam and sank both of them.

World Situation: The war with France and Japan is not going well. Japanese troops have landed in the Philippines and the two nations both have huge submarine fleets necessitating huge forces for trade protection.

Many additional units of the Dirigo-class corvettes were ordered to replace losses and provide additional trade protection forces.

The Cassin-class represents a significant increase in size and capability over the Walke-class units. It was decided to begin construction now due to wartime losses.

The US has concluded a peace treaty with Japan and France, ending the war with no exchange of territory. This is somewhat disappointing after how long the war had gone on but Japan's intervention was overextending us.

World Situation: Tensions between the US and Germany are elevated. The world is otherwise a bit peaceful. The US Navy has placed all corvettes into the reserve.

All five remaining armored cruisers and the protected cruiser Cleveland were scrapped.

The US Navy ordered one additional Colorado-class battleship.

The US light cruiser Milwaukee caught a German light cruiser in the Aleutian islands and sank it.
The USMC as landed troops on Saipan.
November 1924
The German seaplane tender August Pieper was torpedoed and sunk by a US submarine.
December 1924
Germany and the US make peace with no territory changing hands.

The Arizona-class is an evolution of the Colorado-class, with slightly increased armor, utilizing the new inclined armor design to increase armor effectiveness, and with a slightly increased AA battery.
These ships were found to be able to beat their designed speed by 1 knot on trials.
