The invasion battle was a victory, although I'm disappointed I only got two of their Bs. I also need to build more DDs.
4 of my invasion transports suicidally charged their fleet, otherwise I would not have lost any of them.

Our gallant destroyer forces attacked one of their convoys, sinking 6 merchant ships.
If we has had a cruiser or two with them, we would have sunk more.

September 1904 We have invented Steam Turbines. Because of this, and budget pressures, we have scrapped one of the Antrim class CLs, which will be obsolescent on launch.
Also, France is supporting the rebels in the Solomon Islands. But we don't want a war with them while we are still fighting the Italians, so will have to ignore it for now.

November 1904
The new Battle-class destroyer has a heavier armament than the earlier Arrow class but on the same displacement, thanks to steam turbines.
So far in this war we have lost 1 B and 9 DD; the Italians have lost 4 B, 1 CA, 1 CL and 4 DD. So that's us ahead.

July 1905
Our new battleship, the Dreadnought, combines the best qualities of the battleship and the heavy cruiser, while being superior to both in all respects: speed, armament, armour. We call it a battleship-cruiser or battlecruiser.

June 1908
An international treaty bans submarines. This is probably to our benefit as we had large numbers of subs which would rapidly become too old while using up lotas of resources.
