Since many of us will have a lot of time to spend at home because of covid 19, I enclose the files of a SAI campaign that takes place virtually in 1940. I hope you will like it. Since the files with the profile drawing of the ships take up a lot of space, they are not inserted here. If someone asks me, I can proceed to add them a little at a time in the next few days. Obviously the campaign would be more realistic if aircraft carriers and radar could be simulated. I also hope that it is not too difficult for NWS to introduce these improvements, in a reasonable period of time, taking advantage of what it has already done for RTW2. However, when I start the campaign I get error messages about missing land layers 1 and 2, the briefing file, as well as the sdf files for: Large merchants, Warspite, Bretagne, Ceres, Generic Transport, Transport, Taranto, Forban Looking through the files these ships are in fact missing Also, for ship pictures I have found that 7zip compresses them well

K force at Malta isn't assigned to any command Another small point, Lorraine has a midships turret that she shouldn't.
Thanks for the awesome campaign!

Thank you for appreciation. Force K should act independently of the main naval forces in Alexandria and Gibraltar. It is a pity that aircraft carriers and land based aviation cannot be introduced. I hope that sooner or later NWS will decide to develop an SAI2 (or any other name with which it will want to call it).

Right now the campaign map works but the battle map doesn't load Do you mean the small map with the cross? This is the The MedBrief.env file, which you find in the attachments to the message that I sent on April 9th.

No its the battle map Your figure shows the area of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Sicilian channel, however only the false mined areas that I added to round the coast lines appear. Another difference compared to what appears to me are the British and Italian flags, which I don't see. In any case, I enclose the environment files relating to the Mediterranean. Let me know if this works. ENV files.zip (2.34 KB)

Hello! first time poster here. Thank you for the campaign, I'm having some trouble installing it properly. Some guidance would be appreciated.
1. I'm moving the .sdf files into folder Designs (I had to rename "Ceres" to "WW2 Ceres") 2. I'm moving all other files (.env; .msn; .crf; .cam; .lyr) to folder Scenarios/Campaigns
The campaign is displayed in the campaign selection but upon loading it the following files are reported as not being found and the preview map only shows blank ocean (no land whatsoever):
Layer 1 not found Environment file name: The Med
Layer 2 not found Environment file name: The Med
Campaign Globe Land Layer 1 not found
Campaign Globe Land Layer 2 not found I've also moved the .env and .lyr files from point 2. above directly to the Scenarios folder with the same result. Also dumping everything in the Custom Files folder produces the same warning messages upon loading the campaign.
Edit: found the problem. There were some absolute paths (G:\Giochi\NWS\Steam and Iron\) in the .env files; I've replaced it with relative paths to the Scenario folder where I put the files and the campaign loads without warnings and properly displayed land now.
Follow-on question: are the Ship pictures included in the files above?

I've been away from "Steam and Iron" for a while, and am trying to set up this 1940 campaign. When I try to launch it, I get a ton of errors for missing ship files, like this.
Have I overlooked something, please?
Thanks.

I haven't practiced this campaign for too long to be sure I can solve your problem. In any case, I'll join the files I had prepared for the ships. Med40ships.zip (39.47 KB) Med40ships addenda.zip (208.76 KB)
