as the title says currently modders are limited in their ability to change the rate of fire due to the inability of guns to fire faster than 4 rounds per minute the game seems to stop ships from shooting any faster despite higher values allowing much higher rate of fire having been modded in an example would be the 2" gun in this file which has more than 20 rof but can only shoot at a maximum of 4 no matter what for people who wish to have realistic rate of fire this is quite irritating to deal with as it makes small guns significantly worse than they should be in realistic rof mods (im trying to work on one) (worth noting the rof numbers in the game files scale 1-8 this means 8 rpm in the files means 1 rpm in game) as seen in the picture the adjusted rof is far greater than 4 yet it is exactly at 4 rof the final rof does not move even though adjusted rof does and the modifiers also change this means 4 rof is the cap Attachments:Gundata.dat (295 B)

That's where I got that number from! ;D The latewar 3 inch automatic was a TERRIFYING weapon.
