I have some thoughts on improvements to the battle interface:
1. allow the user to set limits to how big/small text can be. This would allow users to set it so text is never too small to see or so big it gets in the way of other stuff. Ditto for size of flags.
2. red and blue colours for ships. When zoomed out the ships appear as red or blue. But when zoomed in, they don't. Allow an option so that they still do, as this makes it a lot easier to tell which side a ship is on.
3. Currently, flags can either be square (under user control) or triangular (under AI control). Introduce two new shapes, one for flagships, one for divisions under AI control which can't be put into user control.
4. Roles (on dialog box for giving orders to divisions) should include 2 new roles: (i) disengage return to port (so the user can disengage just those ships badly damaged), and (ii) pursue enemy ship (stating which ship) (justification: so I don't have to give continual course correction orders to ships pursuing the enemy; I'm sure none of the commanders at Tsushima, Jutland or Leyte Gulf had to do this)
