Can we get an option where all aircraft have good reliability? Its an interesting mechanic but I personally find it more annoying than engaging

Speaking only for myself, but I always get a “poor” rating on reliability of my aircraft, unless I pick reliability as the design focus when I request new planes. Then I just get “average.”

Then I just get “average.” Exactly, I just want to worry about aircraft stats that matter without losing 20% of my aircraft every battle to ops losses

While I understand the request is more a gameplay preference, I would point out that aircraft are finicky creatures, even before you start considering the stresses military aircraft endure. Tons of things could lead to an aircraft being unairworthy, from a small engine component being faulty, sea salt spray or improper throttle management on the part of the pilot.
Perhaps one addition that could influence reliability is the choice between an open hanger and a closed one. A closed hanger would increase reliability of it's aircraft, while an open one would decrease aircraft ready times since engines can be started below deck.

Only 50 of your ~500 aircraft have good reliability there

Oh absolutely, personally if I was the devs I would expand the reliability system. If you’re going for realism, though you have to look at historical numbers. In WW2, US carrier based ops losses were .68% of combat sorties Land based ops losses were .25% of combat sorties Relatively, ops losses in game are ridiculously high, so it would be nice to disable the reliability system

Then I just get “average.” In my last game I got stuck with MB that had poor reliability in the 1950s. I immediately requested a new design with reliability as the top focus. The next design ended up with “poor” reliability again. Tried again, got another poor reliability MB. At that point I had to focus on other aircraft again and chose to live with it.

seawolfI think it is not necessary to look at older save when more than 2/3 of my aircraft had good reliability. It can be seen I have changed priorities.

seawolf I think it is not necessary to look at older save when more than 2/3 of my aircraft had good reliability. It can be seen I have changed priorities. I was referring to the total number of aircraft in service. In any case, all I'm asking Fredrik W for is an option to give all aircraft good reliability, as I, and I think much of the community, would appreciate it.

dorn these 2 pictures should say enough A VERY VERY LARGE MAJORITY are GARBAGE reliability worth nothing that from around 1940s onwards i started putting reliability as a secondary attribute on BASICALLY EVERY PLANE it seems like all your planes have reliability as primary or secondary priority Attachments:

here is 1 more pictures all 3 should show my reliability from when i first got aircraft until my latest aircraft considering over 56% of my aircraft have poor reliability i think it would be very nice to have a good reliability only box which you could check before a game 43 poor reliability 27 average 6 good unknown not counted Attachments:

This seems like a prime candidate for a mod. A search and replace or two should do it. You should post in the mod section with a bit of ego stroking, a hero will emerge.
