Then another game in which, if I remember correctly, consists of a British invasion fleet off the East Coast of the USA when the invasion target is Haiti in the Caribbean. This one has me flummoxed anyway...it says my invasion fleet, but there doesn't appear to be a destination for it (though if it is Haiti...). Settings: V1.19; British Royal Navy; largest possible fleet size; Harsh Peace Deals, Manual Build of Legacy Fleet. Mods: Seawolf's "No Random Techs" This one has me even more stumped: The game generated 2-3 convoy defence missions on the bounce, which (AI) Germany rejected. Then it offered me a shipping raid, which both sides accepted. A bombardment mission(!) was given as the objective, so off I sailed. Encountered the AI fleet which avoided action. Found the target - although it was the dead of night and technically out of visible range. Nonetheless, proceeded to steam along the coast blasting away. Pretty sure I'd hit it with enough 10" alone to finish it, but eventually ran out of primary and secondary ammunition on the CAs, so opted to withdraw after 1100/1000 turns. One DD found a minefield and sunk, 3 DDs decided they wanted independent action...and proceeded to sail around the Target preventing the disengagement window from popping up. Cursing, I turned the fleet around to get them to reattach to their parent squadrons, at which point another DD finds a minefield. This time, it only suffers ~99% flotation damage and no flooding, so gets sent home. But now the German Fleet is shadowing me - in fact, it seems that some of my destroyers supposedly travelling flat out at 25kn aren't as an enemy CA appears to be pacing them - in 1901. At this point - about 1800 turns into a 1000 turn limit scenario - I'd had enough and rage quit. Attachments:Game5WM.7z (135.27 KB)
