When did you start the game - 1900
What nation were you playing?
Japan
Were there any start options that were not the default?
Varied tech, larger fleet size, manual legacy fleet
Describe the issue in detail.
An event chain over 2 turns leads to an unexpected prestige loss in regard to having no ships on TP status even thought he DOW was in the current round.
September? 1901
- Britain occupies Hainan - breaks treaty with me due to differences.
October? 1901
- I send a cruiser force to rescue locals from a chinese uprising. Tensions with Germany, Britain, France and Russia are in the yellow.
Turning over to November 1901
- I dont recall the events exact wording, but it was something about relations with Russia worsening and war threatening on the horizon - I selected the top most aggressive answer "The navy is ready to fight"
- DOW against Russia occurs
- surprise attack event fires, I select to attack Sachalin
- Pre Battle Map shows the attack is actually going against Liaotung peninsula, estimated enemy force a meager single CL
- Pop Up "enemy can't muster enough forces, gain 5 VP"
- Pop up "Prime minister is upset you dont have enough ships on patrol, lose 1 prestige" although the DOW had just happened in this event chain.
What were you doing when the bug occurred?
Ended last turn.
What did you expect to happen and how was the result you saw different than you expected.
The lose prestige event regarding patrol fired too early - or the game somehow skipped 1 turn where I could have set my destroyers to do the TP duty.
Can you describe how to reproduce the bug?
Looks like a freak event chain logic bug to me. Can't possibly reproduce this due to randomness.
What version of the game were you playing (v1.00, v1.01, etc)? 1.22
