On a game playing as Germany I am experiencing repeated and predictable error causing the game to irreparably freeze. The battle is in the Mediterranean with my force consisting of cruisers and light carriers. The year is 1945 coming from a 1900 start. I have modified some budget and tech-related values in the BNat1920 file. I reverted to the autosave and the crash has happened two more times in exactly the same fashion: I get an "Enemy aircraft approaching..." message, the next turn plays, then the whole game freezes up. Doing anything at that stage causes the program nonresponsive message to come up and there's nothing to do then but kill the task. I have enclosed the save game files. Hello shkval25 Thanks for the report. A couple of questions: 1)What version of the game are you using (1.22, 1.23, etc)?, 2)Are you using any mods for the game? Thanks again.

We have had a couple of similar reports, but we have not been able to replicate the problem. Likely it could be something machine or OS dependent. There is an option to turn of the air approach messages. Does that help.

Hello shkval25 Thanks for the report. A couple of questions: 1)What version of the game are you using (1.22, 1.23, etc)?, 2)Are you using any mods for the game? Thanks again. The game version is in the title of the thread. I'm not running any mods except for a modified BNat1900. I do have some custom nations in the main directory but I'm not using them in this game. @fredrik W: Something interesting happened after I submitted the bug report. I opened the autosave again and this time it was one of my carriers that was attacked first, rather than my destroyers. I was able to finish the battle successfully.

There is an option to turn of the air approach messages. Does that help. I'm not sure how to turn off the approach messages, but turning off "Air to surface and AA messages" seems to prevent the crash. It's a shame as those are fun messages to look at. Apologies for the gravedig.
