If these have already been suggested I apologise in advance.
I was wondering if it was possible to create specific groups for different sea areas a la the British Empires China Station which always contained a specific group of ships. To clarify what I mean here is an example. I'm playing as Britain and I want to station a group consisting of 3 B or BB, 2 BC, 3 CV/L, 4 CA, 4 CL and 16 DD in the Mediterranean. This requires a lot of micromanagement and the foreign station command just uses random ships from the set assigned to FS and that's just for one area. If I want to set up similar groups in each area it gets exponentially harder to keep track of what goes where when you're refitting ships etc. Would it be possible to make a setting similar to my example which then takes from the ships you set to foreign station until it has fulfilled the requirements you set?
My second suggestion would be tonnage limitations by ship class under treaties using the example of CL moving to a maximum of 10,000 tons after 1927 which indicates that this may be possible. Using the Washington Naval Treaty as an example the limits would be:
35,000 tons with a maximum of 16" guns for B, BB and BC 27,000 tons for a CV with a maximum of 10 heavy guns of no more than 8". Any carrier of 10,000 tons or under is not counted. 10,000 tons for any cruiser with a maximum of 8" guns.
Implementing actual tonnage limits such as 525,000 tons of capital ships and 135,000 tons of CV may be asking a bit much so I'll leave that bit out. Or maybe it could be an option for the harsher treaties setting?

I know a few people, myself included have mentioned each of these. For force groups I think that it could be relatively simple - Create formation and designate a lead ship
- When the lead ship is sunk the game automatically designates a new lead ship, order of preference is CV>BB>BC>B>CVL>CA>CA>DD choosing the heavier ship if multiples of the same type are in the same fleet and a random one if they are the same class/tonnage
- Can attach ships to fleets just like you would move them to a new region at which point they will start moving to link up with the fleet
- Ships remain in force group until sunk of specifically moved, if damaged and the fleet moves they move to regroup with the fleet as soon as they are able
As for treaties I have nothing else to really add and honestly that seems really easy as it seems like it would be the same system just with more checks thrown in than a universal tonnage and gun limit. The tonnage limit would presumably be harder, and if that was implemented I would like to see it based on national budget or existing navy size so Britain isn't restricted to the same tonnage as say Italy.
