The 1.24 still seems to be flagged by WebRoot, and I assume other anti-malware software, and even with green flagging the program it can cause crashes

It works fine after that. There is another way.

I have notified Webroot three times about this issue, and every time they tell me that they have resolved it...<sigh>.

I was having trouble installing 1.24 on a Win10 machine as well about a week ago (no third party antivirus tool). Win10 would simply not allow me to run the update with no real reason given - except that it "protected" my computer. No administrator override given and execute as admin didn't work either. I believe I was able to solve this by extracting the zip file and moving the content to a different disk.

Hello all,
Has anyone found a fix? I did a clean install, downloaded base game and updated to 1.24. I set Webroot to allow the executable. In my current game the program now repeatedly crashes, about every minute or so, just disappears, from the strategy screen.
Yesterday I started saving at the start of every scenario/battle and after key events in each battle, as my experience then was the game seemed most prone to crashing during battles.
Any help would be much appreciated.
I love the game.

This is just to make sure that Webroot is the issue, not something else.

What folder path do you have the game installed to?

I use webroot and once I put RTW2 on the allow list, I have had no problems. I use version 9.0.29.62. This version does not need to be updated for threat definitions since they are automatically performed " in the cloud" and is all ways up to date.
If you don't know how to check for an update to the threat detection just let me know and I will walk you through it. It is very easy.

I'm not sure if im understanding what you're saying(I'm exhausted its not you) but I allowed the update and the game itself under the "Block/Allow files" tab and its still closing one me. I've been able to choose my settings, and when I get half way designing my "B" and the gone.
