expendable I modified my game with your files and I think I used the 'other penetration' files 1.3-1.4, I'm not sure anymore, there was also a lack of readme info on these different files, and I'm finding there are no immunity zones for anything anymore. Everything penetrates. 17 Inch guns require 21 inches of turret armor to protect your turret to 17k yards. There isn't enough armor available in the game to protect it under 12k yards. Armor is butter. I'd like to take my files back to a state near the vanilla where I can get corrected or improved weights, fire rates and more precise, but closer to vanilla penetration curves. I used your Version 1.0.1 and it seems these are closer to the vanilla values. I like these so far. They were the files in the main folder. I think it would help if the readme detailed what exactly the other files do in the other folder. Essentially the 1.3-1.4 vpen seems like an exploit. The AI will still armor its ships, but since armor is useless on BB and BC's, then logic dictates that the more guns you have per boat at the expense of armor is best. And that's what I'm doing... I'm finding that since armor is useless, more guns win the day.

Mod does a bad at explaining what each thing does so i will 1.3-1.4 is the realistic pen file using this file will give you penetration ROUGHLY in the ballpark of real life guns This means 12 inches of belt armor makes you immune at ...... 30000 yards against Iowas 16 inch guns (second picture attached is IRL penetration) (EFF is the amount of armor the projectile can penetrate and still be in condition fit to burst) Picture attached is the best explanation. (1.3-1.4 is the green line) The readme does tell you to just use the standard file (the one named vpen in the first part of the folder) 1.1-1.4 is roughly the same as it but has slightly increased penetration over the standard vpen file. the creator did not write which files are what but having worked with him on his discord the 1.3-1.4 is the realistic penetration file the rest are penetration testing files (Such as holing penetration instead of EFF) TLDR unless you want to have more extreme penetration curves use the standard 1.1-1.4 this encourages more long range combat but penetration values at 15k ish yards should be near identical RPM shell weight and other parts of the mod are pretty accurate within the confines of the game (game has a ROF cap of 4 so small guns still shoot too slow) Attachments:
