Would it be possible to have a check mark to enable a randomized nation selector for nations that you face off against instead of the same nations. Some new nations that seem to be missing would be the Ottoman Empire, Argentina, Chile, Australia. Feel free to suggest others.

I would agree. If you look down a bit on this page you would see my Netherlands as a minor nation suggestion. That country and Sweden might be good ideas to add. Interesting countries in any case. I would agree with your suggestions in the original post.

I would agree with your suggestions in the original post. Might have gotten a little carried away with countries but I think South America could use some resemblance in the game and being able to have more countries near the US so if you are playing as the US it could be a little bit more interesting. But I think the Netherlands would be a fun nation I checked out your post and voted yes and and how about Poland as well?

Australia would be interesting. It gained independence in 1901, so maybe it is only a 1920s option, along with Canada. Sweden was the biggest minor nation in the Northern Europe region, but the dutch oil fields and 2 ocean obligation would be interesting to play. Poland had a smaller force than some of the larger minor powers, but could still be interesting.

Yeah I think managing the budget for the small minor nations would be interesting and I’m guessing would make you limited it what you could build so probably more cruisers and destroyers compared to battleships and battle cruisers. But I think minor nations could use a little bit of representation in the game. I also think it would be cool to add would be to switch what nations you can versus so you could play as Poland and verse Australia as a reference because I do get a little tired of facing the same nations over and over again.

I'd like to see an option to increase the total number of opposing countries, as well as wars between AI countries for a more dynamic balance of power.

How about an Indian navy?. Though I am not sure if they ever really had one.

Would love to see some South American option(s) next, especially because we already have the CSA as a "what if" scenario. Would be cool to see a "what if" Chile/Brazil/Argentina won the dreadnought race and had continental hegemony.
Side note: anyone know why the CSA is the first "what if" we've seen/even in the game? Strikes me as a super weird design choice.

Well, it's fun ( I enjoy that what if, personnally) and I guess it's a nod to the north American market.

Alls I'm saying is that it's weird that they chose the nation whose most known quality is "continuing slavery is our entire purpose for existing" when there were other, more realistic options to chose from.

It would have competed with the US in the Eastern Seaboard area if it still existed. The US really does not have too many worries beside Brittan for a large part of the game. France and Japan may battle the US in the Caribbean and Pacific respectively but are not able to force blockades or have major action as often as Brittan can.
Also, it allows people to reenact the Tourtledove WWI/II Alt History series of books rather easily.

And for the "bad guys narrative", you can play the Soviet or Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan during its worse days. So...
As Flamedraken said : it opens new perspectives for the U.S. I just wish the said U.S. had been balanced when CSA are active.
