The manual explicitly states that the gunnery logic considers an odd-numbered secondary or tertiary as being on the centerline, but considering that heavy AA factor doesn't go up if you add an odd-numbered DP secondary/tertiary, and having only one secondary gun on a ship causes the game to delete all secondaries and tertiaries from the ship when it goes into battle, might it be possible that odd-numbered secondaries and tertiaries aren't working in RTW2? I have been assured by folks in the know that odd-numbered secondaries and tertiaries did work in RTW1.

I just tested this and it appear that they indeed do not work. The behavior is as described above, which means a bug.
Interestingly, I'm pretty sure they used to work in RTW2 in one of the previous patched because I did make single-secondary DDs. Seems like one of those bugs that were introduced along the way, like the floatplane bug and a few others.
