Hello there,
I am trying to install 1.25 on my RUle the waves builts. I got this when trying to put it over a modded instal :
Any idea how to goes around this? My guess is one of Seawolfs aircraft mods are interfering... What if I take the file out and then add it back later? I mean... 1.25 is onlt UI stuff, isn't it?

Delete (or move) the file, apply the patch, and then put back the modified file.

Uninstall the mod before updating, the necessary files are attached in the download

It's actually all the mods that are problematic, including my custom made nations. I just updated my vanilla copy of RTW2 and copied the .exe in the modded install. So far it seems to be working.

It is a good idea to always keep a 'clean' copy of the game for updates (install the game and simply copy the original install to another folder) - it will not cause any problems re the DRM to have 2 copies of the game on your PC.

That's exactly what I do. A staple when modding or using mods!

I have a "mirror" modded data folder with just the files I actively modded. If I hit update install problem I delete the offending files and copy-paste the modded files (with overwrite) back in after the install.

Respectfully, at this point why not let us have a freely downloadable copy of the game? If any crackers were going to get a copy, I assure you they would have long since done so already (and most likely did, let's face it). All you're achieving by keeping the download behind an email barrier now is inconvenience for paying users. Heck, since the vanilla copy of the game acts as a demo, you're even likely to get more paying users out of it.

Once a crack is available, it's effortless for the cracker to include the full game (given how tiny it is) along with said crack. So in effect, users of the hypothetical cracked version of the game have easier and more immediate access to the game than we paying customers do. Riddle me that.

Actually, we frankly have not put much thought into updating the demo - I will see if we can get an updated version worked up for release. Thanks.
