Fleet Strength and Base Capacity.
These are two of the most convoluted, obfuscated and esoteric apparatuses in the game and that’s no exaggeration. Why can’t this be made simple? Can’t rtw2 just show somewhere on the ship card or design window what each of those terms adds up to be for that particular ship? That would help us even if it was an estimation. Also show in the Map Details window of a sea zone what the totals are for your fleet for both. Can this be patched? This would be so helpful.
I get so frustrated trying to guess what my fleet’s base capacity would be (It’s impossible, really) and what the fleet strength would be and I’m always running into issues of either losing prestige or having a lot of ships with maintenance issues because rtw2 is not helpful at all in that area. Its maddening and not fun.
Is there any way to fix this or easily figure it out, please?

You will notice you have values with slashes in them. The left side if capacity used and on the otherside is total capacity. Build your bases to increase capacity. Appears to double with each iteration on a per base basis. IE a 200 base goes to 400 capacity, which goes to 800 and so fourth. As for fleet strength, if you mean by not having enough battleships. Well at least as Germany, the only country I play if I have less than 11 battleships ill lose prestige. I also need to maintain a certain ratio of ships relative to britain. Not sure if you're running into this issue, Otherwise you may find at times you want to bite the bullet and sacrafice fleet strength. Why? Well perhaps you have many obsolete ships and are struggling to modernize. Well if you get rid of all your obsolete ships you will suddenly realize you have a lot of money for new ships at the cost of prestige. This is something that was actually down in First Lord of the Admirality Jackie Fisher, the man who was the force behind the first battleship, HMS Dreadnaught.

Thanks for that. I think I’m asking for a unit card display and also one in the ship design window that shows that particular ships fleet strength and base requirement values. Wouldn’t that be nice to have?
