I myself am not sure about the community here yet, as I found your name while scrolling through these forums for the first time. I think, from what you have said, that I might refrain from posting on these forums, to prevent a clash of opinions! I had a read of your wishlist/bug post, and it is very well compiled! I hope that the devs perhaps have a read of it, they might decide to act on it if they do. I’ll probably see you around at some point! Definitely don't take any conclusions from me being slightly annoyed by two posts (probably by the same person)! I'm sure this is a great place to post. I just find it fascinating that there is some variation out there in how people behave! I find it interesting. So I'd post wildly if I were you! Anyway, always happy to chat.

My wish list:
(1) multiplayer. Even if multi-player battles are not implemented, it would be nice to fight against other players' ship designs.
(2) more countries. Every country that had capital ships (or serious plans to acquire them) in the period 1890-1950 should be included. And they should all be in play at the same time.
(3) AI players should treat other AI players the same as the human player. So AI v. AI wars. The human player would be able to suggest to their government that they join in an existing war.
(4) At least as an option, make a conquer-the-world varient where: it's easier to conquer territories, colonies are much (at least 10x) more important to you economy/budget, there are more strategic raw materials (not just oil), where being blockaded severely hurts your economy if you're an island nation (UK, Japan), there are about twice as many colonies. Then I'd be able to try to conquer the world like I can in games like Civilisation.
(5) Standalone ship designer. A bit like SpringSharp. Make this a web-based system and allow users to save their ships (with URLs that others can view). It would be nice if it drew pretty 3D drawings of the ships (with scales) and with components (turrets, masts, funnels, etc) based on the country's actual ships.
(6) To go with 5, have a system where people can design a fleet to a certain tonnage/cost, then the fleets can fight each other (either with AI players controlling both fleets, or human players controlling 1 or both).

To go with this, have a library of existing ships -- eventually including every major warship from the period. So people can make new ships based on existing ones, e.g. Queen Elizabeth class but with thicker armour and faster speed.

That's a lot of time to spend for a small team, especially when they are working on bug fixes, new features and the like. Though I'm quite sure if a gamer were to do the work for them and create the library it may well get included

Yes there is a lot of extra stuff. Maybe they could hire more people and fund the extra work through kickstarter or similar.

There are mods for historical starts in 1900, 1922 and 1936, so people have already done this!
