When you sight a ship, usually at first it is an "Unidentified Ship", then your lookouts will class it as a BB and only later will you know exactly what class it is. Now, sometimes your lookouts produce errors and identify a CL as BB, and you **** in your pants; or misidentify a CA as CL and you charge full speed ahead and suddenly you are in close range to 10" guns with your 6000ts cruiser... Unfortunately, you can circumvent that FoW on the map by selecting the right view; and I hope that is quite unintentional! I like it, when my lookouts make mistakes (That is, me as player! My in-game persona does not like that at all!) Here is the situation: My CL force runs into an enemy CL, which my lookouts report as BB. However, when changing the "ship names" view from "all" to "Type" the misrepresentation is no longer valid, and the CL is shown correctly on the map as "CL". Surprise is lost and I'm not as cautious as I should be! BB identification: is in reality just a CL: I *like* playing in the setting "Type" (or "Type no DD"), since the map is less cluttered! But I also like Fog of War! I hope that this was not intended and is indeed a bug that will be corrected?

I do not think that is intended behavior, I will alert the Beta Crew to test this out and see what is going on. Thanks!

This is not intentional, thanks for the report! Good catch! Strange, nobody ever reported this before to my knowledge, and the game has been out for a couple of years.
