I commented on the latest video from RvT (Dickie) that I always buy technology from other nations when it is offered, because I believe that the accumulated RPs towards that tech aren't lost, but allocated to the next tech in the "tech-tree". But this got me thinking and after wrecking my brain for some 12 hours, I can't for the life of me remember, where I read that (which means, my mind might be playing a trick on me). So, can anyone enlighten me if what I believe is actually what happens?

It explicitly states in the manual that that is exactly what happens.

Hm, maybe I'm blind but I can't find an entry in the manual (I have version 1.16. - is there a newer one?)
I _did_ find an entry in the wiki (which I didn't even realize existed) that says so, however.

Now that you bring it up, I also read it in the wiki. Weird how memory works. But yes, I have bought tech in an area and then had an advancement happen in the same like a turn later, so it is totally worth it to buy tech when offered.
