Were there any start options that were not the default Medium fleet, 50% research,

It's 1902
Currently allied with France, at war with Germany.
I have a "destroy bombardment target" mission, using 1 DD in the North Sea.
The target is worth 10000 points.
However, there is no indication on the German controlled coast where the target is.
Right click on the mission gives the "locate" option - this finds the target in Dar-es-Salaam - which is apparently Spanish Controlled - but half the world away from the starting location. I don't think the DD will be able to reach there in 1000 turns.
What were you doing when the bug occurred?
Locating the bombardment target...
What did you expect to happen and how was the result you saw different than you expected.
Expected to see bombardment target within range and in hostile territory.
Can you describe how to reproduce the bug? Bug only happened with this mission (so far)
