Hi all:
It's been awhile since I dropped anchor here, but I recently found a new book of interest to all you battleship sailors. If you already aware of it please forgive and disregard me (everyone else does LOL). The Naval Institute Press has released a long overdue biography of Admiral Willis "Ching" Lee. Titled "Battleship Commander - The Life of Admiral Willis Lee" by Paul Stillwell, it promises to be a good look at the life of an unsung hero whose career spanned the transition form the big gun navy to the carrier navy. Another title worth acquiring is "The Modern Cruiser" by Robert C. Stern. It covers the development of the cruiser with an emphasis on the effect of the various interwar naval limitation treaties. It is in effect a follow up to his earlier book "The Battleship Holiday" which covered the development of capital ships after the Washington Naval Limitation Treaty. Highly recommend. Stay healthy and keep reading!
Sincerely, Ed Rotondaro

Hi Denis:
How are you doing sir? I have been enjoying retirement and helping take care of my mother who is 92. My youngest son joined the Navy in 2019 and is a Corpsman stationed in Naples, Italy. The perfect place for an Italian food lover!
Sincerely, Ed Rotondaro

Hi Denis: How are you doing sir? I have been enjoying retirement and helping take care of my mother who is 92. My youngest son joined the Navy in 2019 and is a Corpsman stationed in Naples, Italy. The perfect place for an Italian food lover! Sincerely, Ed Rotondaro I am doing well, so is my whole family. Our son and his wife moved to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. Its easier for him to manage Cox Cable Projects with only two hours difference either way. Our granddaughter is in a christian high school. We sometimes have to take her to school or pick her up but we don't mind. Our daughter works for Kaiser Hospitals. I am doing a lot reading, not just about military issues but about ancient civilizations and why they fell apart. Interesting story. Other than that, its just a wonderful time. We don't travel anymore, we spent enough. Tell your son thank you for your service. Dennis Dove
