Unexpected and very sad news; by all accounts a pillar of the naval gaming community. Condolences to all who knew him.

I'm shocked by this news. His wife passed away back in August (I think) and now Mr. Dean. What happened to them and how old were they?

I haven't been an active part of this community, but from what I've seen Chris has had such an impact on a tightly-knit group of people. My condolences to his family.

Sorry to hear of his passing. The few times I interacted with him regarding the store he always responded kindly and fixed the problem without delay even when the problem was one of my own making.
My condolences to his family and friends.

How sad. Mr Dean was a real benefactor for naval enthusiasts. Mr Dean also created a community on this forum. I am truly saddened. Mr Dean, may your soul forever sail on seas plied by the dreadnoughts you so much loved. And thank you so much for all you did for us.

I had only a few times contact with him, though he was always gentle and fast in reply. I wish his kin and friends all the strength they need for those hard times. Too sad a shining star faded way too early.
