please don't force us to stop playing after the end date. instead, add an option in the DLC to keep playing for as long as we want instead of forcing the campaign to end like it does currently.
another suggestion i'd like to make is to add "future tech" that we can research after we finish the tech tree. so for example, even if you've finished all torpedo techs you can reasearch a tech called "future torpedoes 1" and "future torpedoes 2" and so on that add 1% to all torpedo stats (range, damage etc.) so that you can keep the game interesting even after the campaign is "over". to prevent these future techs from giving players ridiculously overpowered ships you can make them exponentially more expensive the more of them you research. what do you think?

is 1990 a hard end date? or can we still keep playing after that? please let us keep playing, i don't want to be forced to end the game at some arbitrary date.

Just wait till 1989, then change your save file back to 1970, and then you can keep playing, it doesn't break the game. You can currently do it with 1970->1950

we shouldn't have to "cheat" to extend the game, there should simply be an option to keep playing. it literally takes a few minutes to implement. just comment out the code that force quits the game when you reach the end date.

it would make playing at 10% tech more practical - it's a lot of fun taking decades instead of years going through each naval era with tiny incremental tech advances, but you can't finish very slow tech progression in the time allotted in the game
