Hello techfixer , WC-NAW was a co-development between Christopher Dean and myself, and was a quite fun project to work on. Unfortunately after Chris un-timely passing I find that I do not have access to the latest source code for the game, so I could not update/fully support the game if I did put it on the new store. Would you be interested in the game if put it up on the Software Store for say a ~ $10 price? I could not offer full tech support for it, but it would still be available for those interested and would it help give some support to us (NWS) as an ongoing enterprise... |

techfixer - After searching for & finding the backup DVD (from 2010) that my copy of code/files for WC-NAW are located on, the disk appears to be corrupted. I am running some software to try to recover the files which will take a couple more hours it currently reports, but frankly I'm not very confident it will recover the files I need, as so far it has recovered only a very few files from the disc. I will see if I have any other backups of the needed core files on another disc somewhere else, but my catalogue backup software says I don't.  Chris kept the primary copies of files for that game, but all of his hardware went out as part of his estate probate and I simply don't have access to those.

Well, I found a copy of the NAW v1.20 installer and the 1.31 (final) update patch, but unfortunately I need a valid serial key to install it (and extract the files I need) <sigh>.
Chris kept the records for all the serial codes and customers for the game, & as mentioned I don't have access to those.

i have a copy of WCNAW in a box somewhere and am meaning to reinstall it very soon - perhaps i could offer it to you also then to put on the store? i should have a serial for it as i was able to install and play it from the cd in the past

Thanks to agathosdaimon I can now put the WC-NAW game together and build a new installer for it, so expect to see it up on the Software Store within a couple of days. |
