Apologies if this was already covered elsewhere.
It would be a massive quality-of-life improvement to have the following two features:
1. Have the main ship list "remember" the most recently selected sorting order (including if more than one column was clicked to specify "secondary" sorting criteria). Currently the order resets to a fairly arbitrary one every time the user clicks away to another tab such as the world map.
2. Change the default sorting order to the following or another useful variation thereupon: Ship type -> Displacement -> Location (i.e. the equivalent of clicking on these column headers in reverse order).
Thank you in advance!

I likes it I have spent much time sorting ! Taking it a step further, having a user-defined "default sort" could also be cool (even multiple ones, so user-sort-1; user-sort-2 and so on).

I would like to be able to isolate the list by region, so that I just see the ships in a given region.

This would be nice, I agree.

You can list possesions and there is a list of all ships in that possesion.
I think you can even move ahips from that interface.

I would like to be able to isolate the list by region, so that I just see the ships in a given region. Filters!!!!! Its a pretty great mechanism. Filter by region, by type, by status, etc. Edit: aircraft lists need to be legitimately sortable/filterable too, both the Air Groups screen and the Aircraft Types. I'd also live some sort of highlight on the Aircraft Types page to make yours stand out better. Edit Edit: Heck, everything. Ships sunk, almanacs, all of them, properly sortable and filterable.

A bit off topic but - I'd love an ability to keep track of and sort things on the design side (i.e. the stuff which isn't built yet):
I'd love an ability to export my favourite ships at the end of a game into a kind-of 'ship museum' for posterity. That'd be fun. It'd also act as a reference for keeping track of different designs/design strategies. Perhaps an external viewer app? With an ability to save a small amount of 'lore' text.
More practically - it'd be great if the design scheme allowed one to enter a small amount of text for each design in a 'lore' field in order to help keep track of what I was thinking. I often come back to a game after a few months and have no idea what different ship classes were for (or why they remained paper designs or entered limited or mass production).

A "ship museum" sounds like a great idea, but I bet it is an idea that could be modded.
Kind of reminds me of my desire to have a little 8" high LCD screen on a pedestal that could display my City of Heroes characters as little digital and animated action figures.
