Congratulations for the superb RTW3 to the team that has made it possible. I guess now you guys are having quite a frantic time identifying and fixing everything after so much "help" from us finding all kinds of things. The game really deserves all the hard work

The first patch (1.00.08) went out a few days ago for both Steam and Matrix releases... :-)

Any ETA on the first patch? Perhaps some tentative patchnotes? 1.00.08 is already available through the Launcher that gets installed.

I meant the first non-beta patch that will tackle some of the more weighty issues? What other 'weighty issues' specifically are you referring to? We do have a list of fixes we are working on, some will take longer than others to address of course. Bug fixes are indeed the highest priority right now...we want what is there to work properly before adding any major 'new' feature. Many of the updates we will be pushing out as primarily bug fixes may also have some additions as well; as just one example, an increase in starting combat range (which was a requested item) will be included in the next update. Thanks.

Thanks. Just some of the bugfixes. I know several users seemed very perplexed by bugs so it will be nice to tamp them down. I for one want to see officer issues in assigning/reassigning done away with

The Matrix link is to a continuing loop of a popup asking me to accept cookies. I say yes, then it pops up again. That leaves Steam, and I hate Steam.
No thanks.

No thanks. georgeles It does not do anything like that when I test it, I am sorry - you can copy the below link (the text between the "*") and paste it into your browser and hopefully that wont happen to you: *https://www.matrixgames.com/game/rule-the-waves-3*

I am trying to ask a question and I am getting "I can't posts" I see a lot of reference to buying tech from other countries, making alliances, and buying ship constructions from friendly nations...HOW!!! Welcome to the forum, donaldl . You can buy technologies from other countries only when they offer to sell it to you first. You can encourage this by maintaining good relations with the nation. You can make an alliance only when the other country offers to ally with you. As above, you can encourage this by maintaining good relations with the other country. You aren't buying an existing ship from another country, rather you contract with them to build a ship in their yards for you. To do this, open the Ship designer and in the "Build at yard" field, select a different country using the drop-down list. The advantage of going this route is that you can build up to the dock size of the contracting navy and use technology that they possess that you do not. You will need to maintain good relations with the other country while the ship is building, typically several years. Use caution; if your relations get very bad, or certainly if you go to war with the country building your ship, they can seize it and use it in their own navy. When they do this, you lose all of the funds you have paid toward the construction of the ship as well as losing the ship. You may also run into problems trying to refit such a ship in your own yards if it is equipped with technology that your nation lacks. In that case you will need to refit in the building country's yards, so once again, you will need to maintain good relations with the country.
