Spamming space during a battle doesn't cause the battle timer to increase, although ships are still moving

If you assign a name when building submarines, that name is applied to all submarines built for that order; if you set the name as "I-1" and build 12 subs, you get 12 subs called "I-1."

Minor: Cannot get a screenshot now (at work), but it seems the names of the officers roles (capitan di mare or similar, maybe someone can put them here?) are more italian than actually spanish.

Ammo bug where 155 rounds is barely lighter or not lighter than 160 rounds

I've had some issues with the battle generator. I'm supposed to be fighting a fleet battle (in an area with dozen of capital ships) but the game instead gives me all the ships I have on trade protection on that area. Or only corvets in my case. This is the second time this has happened to me during this war. Mission generator is borked. Gave me a coastal shipping raid, but the objective said to destroy bombardment target. Said bombardment target was not locatable (clicking on locate did nothing). After battle, i got failed for failing to destroy bombardment target, but enemy got points for surviving merchants (as if i was supposed to hunt merchants.

The only guided weapon tech I have researched at this point is guided bombs. Are the ASMs here meant to represent those? I thought guided bombs were usable only by medium bombers. I can configure the strike to "Missile (G)" so I am guessing that the ASM stocks are being used to represent guided bombs until actual ASMs come along, is that right?

So started a play through at 1890 and notice armament weight errors popping up every turn. I believe I've tracked down the problem... DDs are being designed with 1-inch main guns which of course don't have any stats defined for them.

This is WAD. Battle generator simulates all possible historical outcomes and quite often Admirals have far from ideal fleet composition to fight the battle.
Another thing is that it depends on the type of battle. With fleet battle there is very probable that your whole fleet with some exception will be included. But with minor skirmishes battle generator take into consideration that some ships can be on regular exercise, maintenance, on other duties or just not considered to important to be at the place of battle etc. Very precise intelligence information was usually lacking even in later part of RTW3.
If you see something really weird, than best way is to provide screenshot, make description what is wrong and include save.
Without that it is impossible to analyze.

Even after battle if your zip your save directory and provide save, we can still look at it. But without save it very difficult to tell what is happening.
