Not a great win as such, bud a very poor first two years for UK. Randomly deteriorating tensions and an event where I chose more tension lead to a war with UK in June 1906. UK lost its entire battle fleet, has a smaller navy than Spain and lost its only oil province Burma. On top of that its two Eastern African colonies and Weiheiwei. On top of that, UK is now reconstructing its fleet with 1902 tech, which will hopefully delay its entry into Dreadnought building. Though I have the feeling it will be called "FĂĽrchtenichts" in this timeline. (going to war early with UK to get its oil possession is my default strat as Germany or France).

Not perfect, but perfectly adequate for a pre-1900 victory I feel. Attachments:

Here is what I believe is my greatest victory:
"To fight and conquer in all our battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting." Sun-Tsu

Funny you should say that... Of course, when they do resist...

A very fine convoy raid which saw 13/15 merchantmen sunk, as well as 4 protected cruisers, despite them initially outnumbering my forces 2:1

I have had my share of embarrassing defeats for sure, but having just achieved my all-time highest battle score I'll bend to vanity and share it.
This must have been an important convoy, heading to resupply the besieged grenadiers of New Brunswick, because it was defended by half of England's fleet.
Bunker Hill succumbed to fire at the end of the day, or Independence (BC) would have been the only major loss. The battle had my Scouting Force dive into the convoy only to discover the size of the opposition. Independence was lost when a bridge hit left it unsteered as the division turned about to escape. She went down fighting though, absorbing several hundred shells and blowing up a British battleship.
I thought my airstrikes were going to be for naught when it started raining right after launch, but about 20 minutes after they started their search pattern over the English fleet the weather broke.

The first major carrier action of this 1959 war against the Japanese. Their fleet was distributed in two or more chunks, and I trapped one of the CV fleets against Borneo after sinking their screening battle line. Sunk 5 CVs trying to hide against the shore as night fell, took a few torps and missiles to do so. As I was regrouping against the shore myself I got cap reports that there was a CV hiding in the next... I'm gonna call it a fjord, the next fjord over. By the time that was cleaned up my carriers were down to 3 JA, and my battle line had taken a another torp playing pinball with the shore. The next day I vaguely new where a reported BC and DDs were, and sent my last strike package to deal with it. None of the JAs returned, and I spent the rest of the engagement praying the dregs of my LJF CAP screen weren't going to get eroded any further against superior numbers. That day ended with a CA, CV, and CVL burning up from glide bombs and one missile. Had the Japanese had JA or special squadrons themselves, or just more than 20 land based aircraft, I think I could have easily lost this one. And on that note, I'm very happy with my 4 TPS ships, several had over 200 flooding and decided to just not give a ****, surviving two days till the scenario ended.

You don't use DDs?

I suppose I should have mentioned that this was a no DD challenge run I set for myself at 80% tech rate. I was initially going to extend that to KEs until I realized there was no way to handle minesweeping without them, so I'm just handwaving that away and saying they're run by the Coast Guard. The only real issues this leads to (aside from generally insufficient screening, and a seeming complete inability to stop ships from being torpedoed after action) are that I just can't use above-water torps till what would normally be circa 1920, that I need to manually execute flotilla attacks, and that I need to dedicate valuable cruiser tonnage to ASW systems. Overall though, this resulted in me building several classes of cruisers, including one I try to keep at 2600 tons as hard as possible, to act as screening ships.

Might as well put this here. A rare RtW3 One Million damage inflicted battle. Combined arms of my USA devastating the French navy in European waters. CV, BX, DD... long pursuits.... night plane landings... guns, bombs, torps. It had it all. I almost broke off at about 1/3 to 1/2 the damage done as my own ships were running low on ammo and bit damaged though we had done far. Sitting back I did some estimate that I was still likely in better shape amid my BX with several of theirs now stragglers. They would also be low on ammo. Meanwhile I had an apparent carrier plane advantage. The pursuit face lasted hours. Slowly my carrier planes wounded and slowed ships that my own ships caught up to one at a time. "Swallowing the snake's tail". End unit after end unit converted from damaged to sunk. I made a save >AFTER< the battle for those curious on the ship designs fielded. Sometimes with the big battles I make a game save at the start but just hadn't done that this time. Game8 USA save after 1 Million.7z (3.18 MB)

While not Spectacular point-wise, this was my most successful routing of an enemy fleet. Was a battle in support of my invasion of Hainan and I initially met the enemy of the east coast managing to isolate their tailing Battleship division and destroyed them and a handful of destroyers
I was pretty satisfied with this letting the remaining Chinese vessels sail away while I turned towards port at Fort Bayard as my lead ships had taken a decent amount of damage. However, China decided they wanted to turn back and avenge their ships and attack my tail division. My Asiatic fleet wheeled around but they were slowed by battle damage and couldn't keep up as the enemy once again fled southwest. I was getting ready to turn back again when I noticed several of their ships had been trapped inside the small bay and so I went after them. The next ensuing hours resulted in my fleet completely obliterating their entire force while they were pinned against the coastline. I sailed up and down about 5 times eliminating stragglers.
As night fell I destroyed the last remaining Chinese ship, out of 33 vessels, only a single destroyer was able to limp to port. The entire Chinese Battleline annihilated, save 1 ship that failed to sortie out. The entire Chinese fleet reduced to a measly total of 40,100 Tons.
This is my first time utilizing the Quality Gun Mod and the results are extreme lethality in the early game as opposed to the generally benign combat when 13" Q-2 guns can only penetrate about 6" of armor at point blank range in vanilla. I may also go in and give myself some Amphibious techs so that I can march along the Chinese coast since right now Hainan is the only one within invasion range and the next closest possession being Formosa is still well out of range.

Super easy, the .zip file does have good instructions, but all your doing is replacing 4 files in your data folder with the molded ones. Make sure to back up the originals before replacing if you want to revert to Vanilla. I also recommend getting the speed mod from rtw2 ( nws-online.proboards.com/thread/3349/release-tonnage-speed-based-quadratic ) which works flawlessly in rtw3
