So as the UK, I had an event asking if I wanted to instill a pro English coup in Norway. I said yes. It resulted in giving me all of the increased tension, while giving the actual territory to Russia. Also haven't had a single economic tick in my favor in the 3 years I've been playing. Isn't that supposed to happen on average of twice a year? It's probably not related, but the Norway event happened early and it's the first game where I haven't had my base resources increase at all.

Check the event log. There seems to be a bug where it can happen multiple times in one turn in a territory, so its possible it did flip to you, only to get couped by pro-Russians in the same turn.

It was years ago in game so unsure how to check that, but I do remember seeing it listed twice in the messages saying Russia had a pro government coup. It didn't show one in the messages for me, only for them.

This happened in RTW2 as well, and is apparently intended behavior. It works more or less the same as the "take XXX over as a colony" event.

I wanted to bring attention to this. It asked if I wanted to coup Greece as Italy. I said yes and it gave it to the Austrians. Attachments:Game1.zip (528.88 KB)
