A few years ago I had the privilege of taking a "Hard-Hat" tour of U.S.S. Texas (BB-35), that included interior spaces not normally accessible to the public. Although the ship was extensively modernized between the World Wars, these spaces probably look much the same as they did when she was part of the Sixth Battle Squadron of the British Grand Fleet in 1918.
