Those are clearly our familiar ship parts as i recognize them, but how did you get them graphically rendered so nicely? Well done!

Actualy it was just a case of reducing the number of colors on each set and then replacing one set of colors for another. I used paint. Most work was already done, I just repainted it. ccip on the other hand created a lot of acessories and new ship parts apparently from scracht.

Question: how does one access the turrets and stuff in the game editor? I've seen people change them in time-lapse videos, but they don't show up when I try to get at them, just the masts, superstructure, decks, and accessories. When you click on the "..." marked button below arrows in editor, you open corresponding directory and you can directly pick any piece in this directory. Assuming you have dl the pieces, and extracted them to "\ShipParts" folder, when you click on "..." button under accessories, and go one level up, you should see list of directories containing all "new" parts. Then just click on any of them and then pick piece you want, and it will appear in editor. There is one inconvinience and one bug - editor do not remember last folder opened and defaults to accessories making whole process much more time consuming than it could be and if you start adding accessories you can't add mast, superstructure or decks, as it will place original image (the one you generate in the first screen) on top, covering any details. Might just be me, but I'm not getting this to work at all, no matter what I do, none of the turret or hull parts show up at all for me . When I "convert" them to accessories, am I renaming them or do I need to do something else? Sorry for not quite getting it...

Since I felt like doing it, here's a bunch of flags. Each flag comes in two sizes (17x13 and 10x8 for the standard flags, 16x19 and 11x10 for the vexilla). Flags included are Chi-Rho flags in nine colors, tetragrammatic crosses in nine colors, SPQR and blank vexilla in nine colors, and several flags for Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, British India, and South Africa. HMS Dreadnought flying far too many flags, including some which have no business being flown from one of His Majesty's ships in 1907. The Byzantine battleship Thalassion with flags flying and vexilla set for the 1900 fleet review. Renaming the files to Accessories(something) should work. Attachments:

Nuno dos Santos, I believe you can add in-line images (up to three per post) by using the "attach" function. You have to use "Reply" rather than "Quick Reply" to get the full interface. If you're successful, the image should appear in the preview before you finalize your post. Really appreciate your work here! if you are using an image hosting program (i use imgur) you can hit 'reply' to get the full interface, then click on the 'insert image' ikon, paste the url in, and you get a nice full sized pic in your post this was the Hood edit - actually i just clicked on the HMS dreadnought pic above, copied that nws forum link, then inserted that link in the 'insert image' and still got the pic to balloon to full size - these look great!

Thanks for pointing that trick out. Also, glad you like them; I'm not terribly pleased with how some of them came out (mostly it's the vexilla that vex me, but I'm also not so happy with the small Raj India flags). Edit: Interestingly, it appears that you cannot see the embedded images when logged out, though you can still see the attachment thumbnails.

Here are some seaplane images (and some flags for Fredrik W's Chin China and director's Imperial China custom nations) that I created. Some examples from my ongoing Chin China Interactive AAR game: Chih Yuan flying director's Imperial China flag with a red stripe and carrying a monoplane between the superstructure and the after turret. Lai Yuan and Chi An flying Fredrik W.'s Chin China flag; Lai Yuan carries two biplanes on the fantail while Chi An carries a biplane at the after end of the superstructure.

Let's add my five cents to flag pool. Here is my flag set for Russia (including early Soviet Union) and some small countries from mods (Scandinavia, Netherlands and Tropico): Flags Acessories.zip (10.26 KB) Note: - St. George's ensign is very rare reward for most glorious ships. Also it should be raised at all ships called Pamyat Azova or Pamyat Mercuria in honour of their predcessors. Also, some random examples of my "pixelship art": Dobroflot liner at peacetime. Tropican flagship (and personal yacht of El Presidente, as you can see) El Chupacabra at 1924 naval revue. Many thanks to all who make these great part sets!

Hi all, am I right in that ccip and Nuno dos Santos sets are the most complete at this moment? Should I download Nuno's set from the frontpage and ccip's from page 14?

So downloaded and unzipped to two files into the shipparts. I am still at loss to how to actually use all these nice components. Is the idea to do it by yourself and if so, which program do you recommend? And if it something that is generated automatically, how do you do it?
Thanks!

Is the idea to do it by yourself and if so, which program do you recommend? And if it something that is generated automatically, how do you do it? Thanks! On the latest version of the game, if you right-click on a ship in your ships list, one of the options is "Change Ship Picture." Mouse over that option, and in the submenu that comes up click on "Generate Picture." That'll bring up the in-game ship image editor, which you can then use to put together a profile image from the pieces you have on your computer. You can also access the in-game ship profile image editor through the Almanac by right-clicking on a ship in the ship list for any nation and selecting "Generate ship image;" this is the only way in the game to generate ship profile images for the ships of other powers.
If you so choose, you may also create a 640x160 bitmap (*.bmp) image in an image editor of your choice, save the file to some location that you can find, and then right-click on a ship in your ship list and select "Change ship picture > select picture," and then select the ship image that you created. Possibly other image types would work, but I have not checked; the in-game editor generates bitmap images.
