10th Group of Twenty photos - Attachment Deleted
As of this group, there are 68 ships left. At this rate we should finish RJW on Sunday. Note that after the first filtering of the SAI standard edition ships, there are only about 77 of those that need photos. If I stay on track, we should finish this whole projects initial phase by a week from Sunday. I will then go back to those that I could not find pictures for and continue more research. I will also attempt to fix problems that all of you post up here, if the team has no objections.
Happy New Year, to all.

Here is the 13th Group of 13 pictures and this ends this phase of the project. You are only missing nineteen pictures most of which are AMCs. I am focusing on the photos needed by the standard edition of SAI.

Here is the 1st SAIGroup -Attachment Deleted - This group and the following should be placed in the custom files folder within the Steam and Iron subdirectory. These are for the standard SAI game for WW1 era or thereabouts. These are not for RJW. I have named them appropriately to remind you of this. As usual, there are 20 photos. There are about 80 or more left, I should finish by next weekend or earlier.
Enjoy

Here is the 3rdSAIGroup of 20 photos for the standard game, not RJW. Attachment Deleted
Interesting historical note for those of you so inclined, the Russian Battleship in this group, the Panteleimon was originally called the Potemkin. However, after the 1905 mutiny she was renamed. She was immortalized by Sergei Eisenstein, the famous Russian director in his silent movie, "Battleship Potemkin". You might be able to find it on Youtube.

Here is the 4thSAIGroup of 25 photos - Attachment Deleted
This is the final installment of photos for the standard edition of SAI. There are 51 duplicates. You can simply go to RJW directory and go into the custom files folder, locate the JPeg that you need and copy it to the custom files folder of the Steam and Iron directory. Remember to copy it, not move it. In some cases, I've given you a photo of a ship in the same class and provided the class name for you to recognize. Many ships individually did not have photos taken or are not available on line. I've used no drawings but have used one or two colorized photos. These are B/W photos that were colored in.
Enjoy

From now one, when I post updates or new pictures, I will name the group for the version of SAI. In this case, RJW. This will tell you where the JPEG files go.

Here is another two photos from the RJW. Attachment Deleted If you are interested in searching for photos of ships, be aware that ships change names if sold to another nation. In that case, pictures of the new name, might not be available. Example is the Ural, an ocean liner as built in Glasgow by John Elder & Co. She was a Rivers class ocean liner with the SS Elbe being the first in her class. The Ural was originally the SS Spree. The picture I have provided is of the the SS Elbe, same class. Also, be careful of using stacks as an identifying mark, the Tribal class of early British torpedo boat destroyers had anywhere from 3 to 6 stacks, depending on who built the ship. In the case of the Rivers class ocean liner four of that class were built by Fairfield Shipbuilding of Glasgow. The last two, including the SS Spree were built by AG Vulcan, of Stettin. The Elbe had two stacks, while the game represents her as having three. Possibly a change by Vulcan when building the SS Spree, I don't know. The key is to start with a wide search pattern, then narrow it by reading the details. Sometimes you can go to a period book like Brassey's or Janes, and others on Google Books, to read the details that might give you hints. Here is a good site for research. www.worldnavalships.com/
