Just started playing the campaign game for both SAI and RJW, and it's very impressive. Much more enjoyable and engrossing then the scenarios. More detail, more things to keep track of - a much more engrossing gaming experience. Great design. Love the way actual history is a constraint on resources and the march of events. Love the fact that your big fleets might never meet. Looks like mine in RJW will never even get out as a big fleet, resources are so challenging. For some reason I had thought the scenarios were the heart of this game, but I think the campaign is the real star. Great game. Thanks again to the devs.
You should definitely dive in there, oldpop.

You should definitely dive in there, oldpop. I am going to read through the campaign manual today and start my first campaign this evening. I have been fixing a computer for my son, he ran into problems and I told him I would fix it. Its done now, and now I can get back to blowing things up. (hopefully not my ships).

Congratulations on stating the campaign Phoenix and oldpop2000. Best of luck and may you always expirence Fair skies and calm seas.
I agree that the campaing feature is addictive. Since I have started the first campaign, I have not even played a scenario.
I concur with many thanks to the devlelopers.

I'm another that prefers the campaigns. It gives the individual battles context, and you tend to fight with more of an eye on longer-term impacts on limited resources.

Yes! I feel the same way. The campaign is the heart of this game especially the long range thinking that has to be done. This was my favorite game of 2013 due to the campaign add on and I'm not even a naval wargame guy.
