The repair times on ships after they have been damaged in battle seem really weird to me. Often I expect most of my important ships involved in a battle to be damaged, and often only one or two actually are. And they're either those really seriously damaged or those very lightly damaged.
Recently I fought a battle as Austria Hungary against France on a livestream. It was a complete victory, 5 French capital ships and 5 French destroyers sent to the bottom for the loss of a single minesweeper. To a submarine.
But I had 3 capital ships damaged during the battle. Monarch, Tirol, and Vorarlberg. So here is the damage each ship suffered:
Please excuse the Nvidia Geforce screenshot popups and the taskbar at the bottom
So here is the list of active ships immediately after the battle:
So you can see what is weird about this, right? Vorarlberg is in the yards repairing damage for 3 months while both Monarch and Tirol, the latter suffering worse damage than Vorarlberg after taking a torpedo hit from a French destroyer, are both ready for active service this month. I mean, I would expect the other 2 ships, or at the very least Tirol, to be out for at least a month as well. So what is going on here?
I swear there was an issue with scrapping not giving the full amount of resources it was supposed to if a ship had a refit. So that's what I'm thinking is going on here. Vorarlberg had a director fitted onto her as she completed, which is why it appears she was refit, even though she hasn't been. Both Monarch and Tirol were refit with directors prior to the war. Could that be what's causing this?
