I have enjoyed the game quite a bit. Playing as the Germans was entertaining, the British don't seem to be able to hit anything but water. Even at 1500 yrds. I don't think that's from a flaw in the game, just me not finding the secret to their success. I did manage a 29.33% hit rate during one battle as Germans . Overall, pretty entertaining.

Glad to hear you are enjoying the game!
Wow - a 29% hit rate is superb, I'm guessing that one was a real 'knife fight' (very close-range)?

It was extremely close range. Given the short 80 turns of the demo, I moved in at top speed and continuously circled the opposing ships, giving me a broadside nearly the whole time. I'll look for that result page if it exists still.

volkswagen50 - I just had a Windows 10 user report a somewhat similar issue to your scaling problem (but in his case on a 4K monitor!). Below are some potential fixes for application scaling issues that may work in Windows 10 that I have suggested to him, if these can be applied in Windows 7 (its been years since Ive used Win7 so I am not sure all of them can be applied) they may help you: The first changes I would try are the following, these two are the most likely items that could affect what you are reporting: Change #1: Disable display scaling for RTW: 1. Go to the folder that RTW is installed in, locate the RTW executable and right click it, then choose Properties from the menu. 2. Go to the Compatibility tab and check "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings". 3. Click Apply then OK. Change #2: Set the Windows text scaling to 100%: 1. Right-click on your Windows desktop, select the "Display settings" that shows on the menu. 2. In the "Scale and layout" section select the "100%" setting (this will make your text much smaller on a 4K display, but may fix the issue) 3. Click on "Advanced Scaling Settings" , and click on the ""Let Windows try to fix apps so they're not blurry" slider to turn it off. ***NOTE: If this change (Change #2) fixes the issue, you can try each individual item (step 2 and step 3) to see if just one of them fixes the issue, that way you may not need to change both...it is possible for example that Step 3 by itself may resolve the issue...
If you do choose to try any of these out let me know the results if you can...if you dont wish to then no problem, this post may still be useful for others who may come up with the same issue later on.
Thanks!

I was already at 100% and disabling display scaling didn't fix either. My work around with the screen rotation is still working, I only need to change preferences in that screen and to pick naval strength levels. After that just clicking a scenario and hitting enter works to get the game going in normal rotation. I just purchased the game.
