Question on how to simulate something

I am looking to use RTW2 to help me with an AH that I’ve been trying to write for years - in short ww2 era but Franco British - I know that eta will let me have war between them - tick

My question is whether you can model troop transport missions at start of war - the BEF on its way to help Belgium against the French and the Grenache moving their North Africa troops to the metropole (interdicted in this scenario by RN from Malta and Gib)

The question posed by millsian is not too different from my proposal for a historicized version of RTW2 (se the relevant thread). In this case it would be a counterfactual history.

In my own observation, RTW's system was never intended to be used as a simulator for actual or potential geopolitical events in the "real world". There is no mechanism to give the player the control to design and play his/her own hypotheticals. That would be cool, but it seems SAI by itself would be a better platform upon which to develop this kind of campaign simulator...since it does (in a very cumbersome manner unfortunately) allow players to design their own tactical scenarios, there's no obvious reason you couldn't create a series of scenarios in SAI to simulate this.
