Yes I am reading. Not sure it will be possible to fit that in for RTW, but there will be some other adjustments and improvements to the SAI system.

A progress report. The area system is done and integrated into the game. Testing is progressing well. All the nations are finished, as well as two bonus custom nations. The playable nations will be Britain, Austria-Hungary, Germany, France, Italy, Russia, USA and Japan. The two bonus custom nations will be Spain and CSA. Two of the nation slots will be customizable by the players, not without some work I should add. The two that will come with the game are intended as examples and templates. Below a screenshot of a CSA-French engagement in the Caribbean.

Another one. Ship deployments and possessions of the players will determine battle sites, which can be anywhere in the world.

Thanks for the pics and extra nations, maybe over CSA i prefer Turkey to have more "rock the Mediterranean" but... If i dont understand it bad game has the nations you say + 2 custom nations slots without work from modders to add the slots no??? i refer you have 2 "empty" nation slots to use them as you want no??? Well, "waves are coming" expecting them ready... or not hehehe.

My intelligence has gotten hold of the blueprints for the latest British BC. The British AI has come up with an awesome design. Not sure I want to meet this one. Thin skinned, but 12 x 16 in guns can be nasty...

Looking fantastic, Frederik!
When you say some work, what does it mostly require? Text templates for ship names and things like assignment of home regions/ports and research, resources, starting conditions etc.? Will it be possible to have more custom nations or modify existing ones?
I'm actually mostly curious about the possibility of building things like regional scenarios - e.g. I think playing through something like a South American arms race without necessarily having to compare against larger nations might be interesting!

What is needed is the nation specs, a ship name file and a war data file.
The custom nations can be played but they cannot be AI opponents for various reasons. It is not possible to change all the nations, it is possible to add and play a custom nation, like Argentina or China for example, or whatever you would fancy.

Maybe "future" is in multiplayer... a first step could be a "game of admirals" i refer the game with no tactical battles, only the investigation, mantein fleets and well, the "desk job" and leave battles autoresolve (maybe even used in single player could be only see battles, not play them with orders).
Play with a custom nation is a fun add, maybe people can create their own nations and upload them here and pick something exotic.
Great job, but... WTF are doing british with an armored BC??? they dont have more paper??? hehehe.

What influence does the submarine policy have? Guess unrestricted means tensions with neutrals go up.

Exactly! And they will spend more effort on sinking merchants and be less likely to be available in battle scenarios.

I'm not sure how much longer I can wait for this game! Could you just say a little more about how battle occur during wars? Will events just pop up in every theater where both sides have forces?
