So I've just finished up my first run of RTW2 (amazing game, I absolutely loved it!), and towards the end I had something odd happen with regards to peace deals. I was playing as the CSA. In two wars towards the end of the game, one against France and one against Japan, I was given the option of taking Italian holdings at the end of the war. As far as I know Italy was allied to neither power, and I never fought Italian ships despite having a presence in the Mediterranean for both wars. In fact, towards the beginning of my war with France they took Sardinia from Italy in a blitzkrieg attack (France was the only country in this run to go Fascist). I kind of hoped that would bring Italy into the war on my side, but they seemed to just sit it out. The first time I only took French holdings, but after the war with Japan the cheeky blighters offered me 4 points worth of holdings when both of the Japanese colonies I was allowed to take were worth 5. So Italy lost Rhodes and Eritrea in a war that had nothing to do with them.
Is it perhaps related to the fact that Italy isn't on the list of enemies for the CSA? Or is this an already-known bug that's been resolved (I realized towards the end of the run that I've got 1.0 installed, not the most updated version--off to do that now since that run is finished).
