I think the screenshot says it all, one five inch hit on an 8600 ton vessel, immediate detachment due to "heavy flooding", which was completely eliminated by a "limits flooding" event in the next round. The final damage shown to the ship from this hit is minor superstructure damage, no flotation damage (or at least little enough not to be shown), no loss of max speed, and no ongoing flooding. Attachment DeletedThe tactical result was that the division flagship detached right around the time that I ordered a course change to avoid torpedo attack and continued on the division's original course, parallel to enemy destroyers and well within torpedo range. I did not notice the detachment immediately, and if I had not noticed it for a few more rounds, the ship would very likely have eaten a fish. Accordingly I would like to propose a feature: an option for pop-up notification on all detachments, rather than just a log entry.

I can confirm, it happens to me too sometimes.
I have some ideas about logs during battle. I will post it late in suggestion thread as it will become more mature. I think that using more colours would help to orientate in similar way how torpedo hits could be easily find in log on left side.
