Obviously Britain starts with one, but I was wondering if I could get one myself if I play a nation like Germany or the US. I think the US gets it eventually, but is this scripted or dynamic?

I think it's scripted in the sense that it only happens for the USA but dynamic in the sense that it doesn't occur at a completely-fixed point in the game, though I could be mistaken on either or both points.

If I remember correctly, you can get rid of the "underdeveloped shipbuilding industry" trait by building enough large ships in your own docks, but I don't know if you can get the positive trait the same way.

Well last game I built over two dozen 90KT displacement battleship/carriers so I can only assume not lol. |
