Overall, this is a really solid and good looking update. RTW2 is looking much more polished now and will be much more fun to play. Good work, guys! Thank you! Have a few Q's & C's, please.
Fantastic! But how is this supposed to work now? What exactly is different? So a 1934 BB won't get scrapped in 1938? How long will the AI keep that design around?
Awesome, but can we please be allowed to copy to multiple bases? Currently I can only copy to one base. I want to copy to 2 or more at once.
ZERO people requested this. What are you trying to do? Have the AI kill us? J/K, how is this different than before? I'd like to know what has changed. What was the AI not doing that it will do now? This concerns me because I can't set Divisional level CAP patrols. Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah, that's great. I hated them running out of money in the late game. But can we PLEASE get a 1/3rd Reserve setting? Here's the link to that: Link to that
2/3rds is just too expensive as a low-tension reserve catch-all.
Yeah, again, that's great and mucho appreciated, but can you also add multi-scrapping? Apparently you can only scrap one at a time.
And how exactly would that be done? Selecting the Readying squadrons and updating their target location?
Wow, I hope you ONLY did this if the strike in question has a CV in the description of the sighting report. Otherwise, I DO NOT want my squadrons ignoring a Battleship or Battlecruiser target along the way. Please tell me you guys didnt fruck that up. This is the part of where AirStrikes need an overhaul. Stuff that you would normally tell the squadron in the ready room of the carrier before sending them to their planes are things that should have checkmark boxes for. Like going on a strike, have a checkmark box for things like ignore anything except carriers, fly in an expanding circular search pattern when you reach the target destination, target only BB or BC classes, Fly your plane with bomb into enemy carrier (kamikaze), etc...
Well, this is crap if I can't send CAP to divisions that don't have CAP. Remember that once Carriers operate in a separate force, you lose CAP over the main division and any other division running around also has zero CAP. EVERY DIVISION needs CAP. And if you buffed the AI being able to bomb us better from their carriers, yet you continue to allow our divisions to go completely unescorted without CAP, then this is a huge problem. Totally not happy to know you guys didnt give us the option to be able to cover our main divisions with CAP. Not happy.
This is cool and all, but we all want to be able to send out more than ONE search per day which is WAAAAAAY more important than making sure carriers in exercises have a full compliment. Why can't you let us do that? If we have planes that are onboard with no assignment and we select the search again and hit Search, then it should take those available planes and send out another search. Period. It should send out TEN searches if we want. Why cant this be done? We ALL want this ability.
The age at which the AI considers scrapping ships will increase in the later part of the game.
Fixed error message when multi-dragging aircraft to the reserve.
Improved AI airstrikes on spotted player carriers and capital ships.
The AI will now launch larger and better coordinated airstrikes on naval targets.
The AI will now launch larger and better coordinated airstrikes on naval targets.
Improved AI economic management of air units.
2/3rds is just too expensive as a low-tension reserve catch-all.
When multi selecting airbases in the coastal fortifications tab and selecting expand, all selected airbases will be expanded (if possible).
If you setup a strike and select launch, you will have an opportunity to adjust the target location when the strike is spotting.
Tweaked airstrike target selection so that they will ignore non-carrier targets on their way to the specified target location.
Adjusted air combat to increase the value of escorting fighters relative to CAP.
Carriers taking part in an exercise will have their full air complement even if they are in reserve (they are assumed to have been brought up to strength for the exercise).
