Is it possible to pick more than one enemy ship as a war reparation? Maybe I'm doing something wrong but it seems odd that I can only pick one ship but then can pick Alaska or Maine in the territory window. Moreover, if I lose through a revolution I lose a lot more than one ship. Does it just depend on victory points?

I've never had more than one ship offered to me as reparations - not sure if that is actually possible in the game.

Historically, ships transferred as war reparations were seldom used as frontline ships, and were often scrapped. Offering one ship seemed as a decent compromise.

That seems fair enough - usually peace treaties were disarmament treaties, not "give all your weapons to me" treaties.
That said, maybe with enough VPs it could be possible to, say, sometimes have a chance of taking 2 rather than one? I think it's good to prevent ship capturing from being abused, but it sure would be nice to be able to, say, have two ships of the same class taken in that way which would make them operationally a lot more useful.

As for a reparations including a second foreign ship, one would probably be preserved for parts to keep the other serviceable. So one ship is reasonable and avoids all sorts of potentially unwelcome complications.

Surely it would be better to force your opponent to scrap a certain number of capital ships as part of a harsh peace deal?

Is the most points you can get always '10'? I just finished a 2 year war with the UK as Germany, and at the end the RN was reduced to about 1/2 my strength (about 6-7 BB/BC left), with a total VP score of 255k to 56k. It seems somewhat disapointing that I can't even strip them of Malaya and Singapore...
