Right, so I noticed sth strange while playing France. I was defending a port of Corcyra from coastal bombardment/raid by AH. Since that port was very clsoe to AH itself i wondered why I have no airbase there and decided to build one afterwards. But, I can't find it on the map. It's just not there. I do not control any territory around this region, no region, neutral or other nation's has Corcyra listed as one of its ports. So why was that port there? Why was I defending it? Is that intended or what?

Sometimes there is an extra port added in a scenario for flavor. It will only exist in that battle scenario. Not a bug.

Corcyra??? According to the location it has either be "Corfu" (the English version of the name, deriving from the old Italian) or "Kerkyra" (the Greek version). "Korkyra" (and not Corcyra) is the ancient Greek version of the name...

The names for many locations in RTW2 have changed over time. The names used are generally those that were official or most commonly used around 1900. Thus for example most of the Adriatic coastline has the Italian names for the cities, which were used at that time (despite the coastline belonging to AH). Similarly, the Swedish names are used for Finnish locations, which were used on official maps around 1900 with Russian spelling, as Finland at that time belonged to Russia. It can rapidly grow confusing.
Corfu was used as a base by the French and British in WW1 and was then commonly called Corcyra, which is why that name is used in the game. I realize there could be a discussion about which name to use for a number of places on the map, but one has to use something, and when in doubt I have used that which best captures the feeling of the time around WW1.
