(I almost created an actual poll but I don't think that would generate the type of data that would be most helpful)
I am looking for some player help on categorizing rebellion activity world-wide in the game, as - to my eyes - I feel I have detected an increase in this version of the game to non-ideal levels. I think I need a larger sample size than the 3 games in a week that I could generate myself though.
What I would like to ask for those who are interested is to start a 1900 game and simply log each rebellion that occurs in the game, and whether it was successful. I don't think tracking how long the rebellion lasts would be necessary, but there may be some surprising revelations buried there so feel free if you wish once you have completed your game.
Your post doesn't have to be a long one, just something like;
Ireland june 1919 - september 1919, maintained by HOLDER/lost by HOLDER
or just
Ireland September 1919, kept/lost by HOLDER
Note that this is for every power in the game, not just player territories, producing a single list of all rebellions in your completed game. Playing past 1945 is not necessary since with de-colonization kicking in the numbers would be skewed.
Thank you very much for your contribution! I will give it 7-10 days based on how much participation we get and then total the data.

Oh yes this is something that struck me in my Chin China playthru and I am only up to 1944 (and about to get stomped by American cruisers)
Sakhalin rebels defeat Russia May 1922 Malta rebels defeat British May 1926 Senegal rebels defeat French September 1933 Malta (again!) rebels defeat French February 1937 Finland rebels defeat Russia October 1940 Bismarck Archipelago rebels defeat Germany August 1942
It did strike me as seeming excessive but I just put it down to an aberrant run but hope the data collected adds to your sample.

Hmm, was that a 1920 start or do you really think you had no rebellions until 1922?

A span of two decades without rebellions does not seem that unusual to me, I think (and I may be wrong but that is my head canon) that an average of about one rebellion a decade is normal allowing for the occasional statistical clumping. Then suddenly blat blat blat and the imperial powers holdings are falling like flies. Edit: Oh and typically colonial rebellions fail much like in history so this sudden revolutionary wave was notable. Explainable in game by the resurgence of an Asian power and it was all going so well until just recently but not something I had seen before, maybe one or two successful rebellion per 1900-1955 campaign but campaigns without a single successful revolt are not unheard of.

This is similar to my recent experience, so hopefully I can collect sufficient data to show if in fact this is valid observation or statistical aberration.

I've been keeping track in my current game in the early '20s as Italy. Since 1.16 just showed up, I might be restarting, so I figured I'd give you what I have. If I keep it going (and you still want the data) I'll add it in.
(Note I'm referencing Won/Defeated from the point of view of the rebels, i.e. "Defeated" means the owner of the possession kept it)
Russia: Sakhalin - March 1900 - Defeated November 1900 Britain: Ireland - December 1911 - Won October 1912 Britain: Jamacia - May 1912 - Won September 1912 Germany: Southwest Africa - July 1914 - Defeated November 1914 Britain: Falkland Islands - September 1916 - Won December 1916 France: New Hebrides - May 1919 - Lost February 1920
EDIT: Continued into the 30s before I updated. Figure this is probably very much out of date by now, but I kept the data, so here you go:
France: Madagascar - September 1929 - Defeated July 1930
Britain: Zanzibar - March 1930 - Defeated October 1930
Germany: Caroline Islands - ?? 1931 - Won January 1932
